Some people have complained about lack of hydration options for the
Skua vs Dorado.
For Luna hydration means how many cold beer/ale bottles can he store in his Dorado fishbox but for many of us that means drinking water storage.
Below are photos of how I mounted an insulated camelbak in my surfski ( Being a Yankee in Florida , I drink a lot of water when I paddle) . I used diamond shaped plastic attachments ( like back packs use) glued to the bottom of the surfski cockpit threaded with straps to hold the camelbak in place. It holds the Camelbak in place even when dumped, as I found out when I paddled over a sleeping manatee and it knocked the surfski in the air and me out of the ski but my camelbak stayed in place .
I plan to use the same Camelbak mounting arrangement in my new
Skua ARX which now has a single footwell ( like most surfskis) instead of a tunnel separating the footwells , like the older Skuas, Pelican, Marlin, and Dorado.
